Yes. you select the .cue file using the oppo (via either smb or hdd) and it loads the flac stream. with regard to backing-up (multi-channel) dvd-a's, the encoding process can be quite convoluted/long-winded as 'dvd audio extractor' can't be configured to create a single flac stream with a cue file.. Well, i've just tried playing a few of my stereo cue/flac files (via smb) and i'm happy to confirm that they play exactly as they should do - ie: "the actual flac" file does not play all over again! indeed, i used two methods of cue file navigation and playback. the first was by using the oppo bdp-103 player itself via its remote control.. The oppo 103/105 blu ray player is recognized as a high performance disk player plus it has some new internet and local network streaming features..
Oppo bdp-103eu: music streaming you can stream music wired from dlna-compliant devices via ethernet or wirelessly through the supplied usb dongle. this uses up one of the player’s usb sockets, but still leaves two others free for hooking up an external hard drive or memory stick.. Just click and play as with the more familiar wav, flac, etc. files. now, here's the really good news. the oppo will play multichannel as well as stereo dsd and that makes the oppo the least expensive multichannel dsd-file player by a wide, wide margin.. 15 will the oppo 93 up-convert .avi or .mov files from an external usb drive just like it does with dvds? can it read wav/flac files from a disc or just hard drives/servers only? cd/dvd/blu-ray, usb thumbdrive/hdd and dlna sources support wav and flac..
